First quarter data figures:

Excellent 2009/2010 reduction results in London House and William Goodenough House electricity consumption:

Not quite 10% but we are getting there

Our efforts are having an effect on our consumption of electricity and with a little extra effort we can reach or exceed our target of 10% saving. We saved 50,000 kWh hours of electricity from 20 April until end of July. This is the equivalent of turning off 10,000 low energy light bulbs for an hour, running the average American home for 48 days or saving the equivalent of 256 people’s usage if they live in the UK.

You may wonder what happened in William Goodenough House in July 2010 to show a figure of -48%. There was not an extended period of blackout! This figure is estimated by our electricity supplier and will be corrected next month.
